Education has been a long-standing mission for Campey Turf Care Systems, and attending trade shows in the United States, Europe and United Kingdom has been a crucial part of that mission.
To fully encompass the desire to educate numerous trade shows across the UK, Europe and the United States are attended under the Campey Turf Care and Campey Imants banners.
By attending American shows like the Sports Turf Manages Exhibition (STMA), the Golf Industry Show (GIS) and Turf Grass Producers International (TPI) new and exciting methods of renovation, like fraise mowing using the KORO® FIELDTOPMAKER® and UNIVERSE® rotor can be shared with new groups of groundsmen and greenkeepers.
New innovations have also returned from across the Atlantic, with the AIR2G2 Air Inject being the most notable in recent times, and one which has had a massive impact on the aeration of golf courses, football pitches, rugby pitches, bowls greens and other playing surfaces.
An important part of this information exchange is taking leading groundsmen from the UK to explain how they apply various turf practices on their own surfaces, what success they have had and what improvements they’ve be able to make.
This method of educating and learning also applies within the UK and Europe at the British Turf Managers Exhibition, Harrogate, SALTEX, NEC Birmingham, the Irish Links Initiative, the FEGGA conference, European Turf Producers Expo, Elima Park, Sweden, Have Landskab, Denmark, SalonVert, France, Paysalia, France, and Les 48 Hour du Gazon, France, (to name a few of the trade shows).
All of these exhibitions, conferences and shows are attended with dealers or solely by Campey, with the emphasis always being on educating customers and turf professionals. Further supports is given to greenkeepers by attending the yearly meetings held by Greenkeeper Associations in Spain, Portugal, Britain, Germany, Italy and Germany in order to gain insight on what issues they are facing.
Attending these show-piece events is part of a wider strategy that also involves travelling to groundsmen on the Grass Roots Renovation Tour and the European Renovation Tour, with the basic principle of small changes making a big difference always at the forefront.
