Week 8
I spent this week with Ben Taylor in the South part of England. We began our first day going to golf clubs around where he lives, like East Sussex National. He took me to see Beachy Head, one of the highest cliffs on the south coast of England.
We took a fairy to the Isle of Wight and visited Shanklin & Shandown Golf Club, where they had used a Sandcat on one of the greens. It was easy to tell the Sandcat was doing its job, because with the rain that day, the green stayed dry. Before heading back to mainland, we made a stop at the Needles for some sightseeing.
Once we were back on the mainland we visited Southampton FC. They had just recently renovated their football pitch and we got to see how the grass was coming back about 12 days after they had seeded it.
We also visited Steve Braddock at the training grounds for Arsenal. I was able to see one of the AirFibr pitches and use both a Greenwave and Mini Rotoknife on it to see how each worked with the AirFibr soil.
I spent the weekend in Eastbourne and Brighton enjoying the seafront along with some fish and chips. I am with Ben again part of next week before going back to Campey Headquarters in Macclesfield.
