Machinery Demonstrator

Based in Marton, Cheshire with UK and occasional overseas travel

Role Purpose
As a Machinery Demonstrator, you will showcase the performance and benefits of Campey’s product range to potential and existing customers. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and explaining machinery in a professional and knowledgeable manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver on-site machinery demonstrations at customer locations throughout the UK and occasionally overseas
  • Confidently operate a wide range of turf care equipment, including aerators, scarifiers, seeders, and utility vehicles
  • Provide in-depth product knowledge, highlighting features, benefits, and correct use of each machine
  • Train customer staff on safe operation, maintenance procedures, and best practice
  • Prepare demonstration units, including servicing, cleaning, and loading/unloading machinery
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, open days, and dealer events to represent the company and support sales activities
  • Complete demonstration reports and gather customer feedback to support the sales process
  • Liaise closely with the sales team, service department, and logistics staff to plan and coordinate demonstration schedules
  • Assist with machine handovers and operator inductions following sales
  • Ensure all activities comply with health and safety requirements

About You:

  • Experience operating professional turf care, agricultural, or grounds maintenance machinery (essential)
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage and build rapport with customers at all levels
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently on the road
  • Full UK driving licence (essential); trailer towing licence (B+E) preferred
  • Mechanically minded, with practical knowledge of machine operation and basic maintenance
  • Flexible attitude to working hours and travel requirements
  • Professional presentation and a commitment to excellent customer service

Part-Time Receptionist / Administrator

Role
We are seeking a friendly and professional Part-Time Receptionist / Administrator to join our busy team at our Marton headquarters. This is a varied role offering the chance to work in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and answer incoming calls in a polite and professional manner
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document preparation
  • Maintain tidy reception and office areas
  • Provide support to other departments as required

About You:

  • Previous experience in reception, administration, or a customer-facing role preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail

Yard Persons

Based at our site at Marton

Would you like to be responsible for ensuring our machinery reaches our customers around the world in a safe & secure manner? We are looking for two hard-working, practical people who are happy working outside with a positive attitude.

Your responsibilities would include

  • Manage deliveries / collections in an accurate, orderly and timely manner.
  • Picking and packing machinery for shipment, ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly.
  • Ensuring all outdoor areas are maintained and presentable (gardening, hedge cutting, brushing up etc.).

The following skills are an advantage but not essential

  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Forklift Truck experience, (full site training will be given).
  • Full UK driving license.

Salary

  • £23,000+ dependent on skills and experience.

Workshop Engineer

We are recruiting a WORKSHOP ENGINEER with experience in the fabrication of bespoke shipping pallets, repairing metal work on damaged machinery, conducting quality checks on finished products to ensure that they meet safety and quality standards.

The successful applicant will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them with maximum reliability and functionality.  All our new machinery is tested before dispatch so a mechanical knowledge is a must.

The successful applicant will be based solely in a dedicated workshop and therefore will be responsible for managing their own workload, under supervision from our General Manager.

The job role is based at the head office in Marton, own transport is essential.

Additional skills

  • Forklift truck license is desirable.
  • Interpersonal skills – cheerful with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • High level of attention to detail.

Good rate of pay, plus overtime, holidays & a pension scheme.

Workshop Mechanics

Based at our Marton and Bosley branches

Due to continued expansion we are recruiting workshop mechanics with experience in diesel and petrol engines, hydraulics, fuel systems, welding, laptop diagnostics and schematics, as well as having the skills to organise and work as a key team member.

If you have experience in diagnostics and repairs of tractors, farm machinery, forklift trucks or ground care
machinery, we want to hear from you! The successful applicant will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them with maximum reliability and functionality. You will also be required to perform pre-delivery set up on new and used machinery.

We offer excellent rates of pay depending on your experience, with full support, training and career development provided.
