Campey Turf Care Systems has launched their smallest ever hollow tine, the Tiny Tine®, designed to cause minimal surface disruption and let play resume immediately after use.
The new Tiny Tine® is 115mm in length with an outside diameter of 8mm, a core diameter of 5mm and has a 3/8” mounting. It can reach a working depth of up to 50mm and punches 1,150 holes per square meter, opening up 6% of the green’s surface.
Tiny Tine’s® have been field tested and checked following Campey’s high quality standards, with results showing a lifetime of 9 greens from tests where every green was a size of approximately 500 square meters. That counts up to a total area of 4500 aerated square meters with 8 tons of removed organic material.
The design of the tines is the secret behind their efficiency, with a sharp cutting edge providing optimal hole pattern as well as a perfect ejection of organic material. With its agile, narrow silhouette Tiny Tine® effects minimal edge zone displacement, which means that it is no longer necessary to roll or flatten the green’s surface.
Once the organic material has been removed, play can resume immediately with no adverse effects or disruption. Tiny Tine® can be used all year round and has also proven its efficiency on wet soil and cold temperatures.
Tiny Tine® are available now from www.tinesdirect.com, a subsidiary of Campey Turf Care Systems dedicated to providing quality manufactured tines, blades, brushes and accessories.
